Reading Buddies Program
The local elementary school kids in 2nd grade came in once a month during the school year to read to the residents. It was wonderful to watch the kids learn how to read while becoming friends with each resident.
Class of 1948 MCI Alumni visits Redington
The graduating class of 1948 MCI came in to visit with fellow MCI graduates here at Redington and had lunch with them.
Entertainment
Many local folks come in to sing, dance and entertain us!
Crafts
This was a fun craft session for our residents! A resident's daughter came in and instructed a paint class. If was a fun time for our residents and they were able to use their imagination creating some fun art!
Gardening
Most of our ladies here have always enjoyed gardening. While we don't have a full garden, we do our best to give them some planting time.
Ruby, Our Newest Friend
Ruby is a pet therapy dog who comes in with his owner Linda once a month to visit residents and staff.
Apple Farm Visit 2017
Some pictures of our trip to the apple orchard. The residents had a really good time. They asked lots of questions about the orchard and apples.
Outdoor Fun
Our residents always enjoy the beautiful weather when they can in our outdoors area.
Carnival
In August we had a fun carnival here at the home. Since residents can't really enjoy the fair anymore, we tried to bring some of that feeling here. We had a beautiful day for it, and I think they had a great time!
Skowhegan Residents Get a Remastered Look at Life 70 Years Ago
Residents of Redington Memorial Home enjoyed a viewing of the remastered documentary film 'Blizzard to Blossoms' which was shot in 1948-49 in the Skowhegan area.
